An Announcement for International Women's Month 2025

RADICAL GRACE – Flipping the Script on DEI for Women and Girls

For Women's Month (March) 2025, Flip The Script Collective is launching a special program that brings fresh insight into the stories of remarkable women of faith—from the Bible, history, and our present day. Every week, we’ll publish articles that flip the script on how these stories are understood, revealing their true core: God's radical grace and redemptive love demonstrated through the cross.

But this isn’t just about personal stories. The women we’ll be highlighting carried national and generational impact—not because of their own strength, but because of God’s unearned favor at work in their lives.

At the heart of this program is a global online event on International Women’s Day (March 8, 2025), centered around the theme: RADICAL GRACE – Flipping the Script on DEI for Women and Girls.

Why Does This Conversation Matter?

Today’s global conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) often focus on human effort, achievement, and self-empowerment. Women are constantly encouraged to strive harder for recognition, success, and belonging. But what if the most transformative women in history—the women in the Bible—weren’t defined by their strength, but by God’s unearned favor working through them?

This event challenges prevailing narratives by offering a countercultural yet deeply liberating perspective:

·         True equity, access, and belonging are not earned, but freely given by God’s grace.

·         Identity and empowerment don’t come from self-validation, but from being fully seen, loved, and empowered in Christ.

·      Inclusion isn’t just a human concept—it’s ultimately God’s divine inclusion, where every woman has full access to His promises, favor, and calling.

By flipping the script on DEI, this event expands the conversation beyond human structures to highlight the abundance of God’s grace—setting a new standard for what true empowerment looks like for women and girls today.

The Heart of This Series

So often, Bible stories—and even stories of modern people of faith—are taught as lessons in achievement. We hear about faith, courage, and strength and assume that the takeaway is to try harder, be better, or measure up. But the real power behind these women’s lives wasn’t in their personal efforts—it was in what they believed.

Every person who did something extraordinary in the Old Testament did so by believing in God's promise of a coming Messiah. It was never about their merit—it was always about God’s undeserved love, favor, and kindness in light of that promise. Yet many of us grew up hearing these stories in a way that made us compare ourselves to these figures, shifting our focus onto ourselves rather than the true hero of the story—Jesus.

But the Bible isn’t about striving to be like these women; it’s about seeing Christ revealed through them. As 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us, true transformation comes not by effort, but by beholding Jesus.

Let's flip the script together. Register here. I look forward to seeing you in the virtual conference room.

Flip The Script On Education: A Reflection In Celebration of the International Day of Education 2025

Image from Freepik Happy International Day of Education!  On today's episode of Flip The Script, we're flipping the script on education, in honour of the International Day of Education and we're doing that by shattering the myth that education only happens in schools and classrooms. I believe in holistic, out-of-school and transformative education that changes us and empowers us to change the world and I believe this is God’s heart for education. Education doesn't only happen in schools and classrooms but in all of daily life, and we should never confine or limit education to that.  My case study today is one of the most inspiring young people I’ve ever learned about: 19-year-old Gitanjali Rao who’s a science enthusiast and an inventor and already invented her first science-b...

What’s Eating You?

Photo source: Stockcake What Are You Eating? What's Eating You? A slow meditation for those who want to be nourished, not just inspired. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about food —but not just the kind that fills your stomach, but the kind that fills your soul. My dad used to say something I’ll never forget: “You can use good food to cure sicknesses.” It was wisdom passed down—his parents believed it. My mom and her parents too. They all knew the power of nourishment. They believe that if you eat well, your body naturally gets to heal, strengthen, and thrive. They knew this well and they lived by it. And it got me thinking: But what if the same is true for your soul? What if some of the fear, shame, anxiety, or spiritual fatigue you're feeling aren’t just about sin or stress or burnout—but about what we’ve been feeding or not feeding on ? Or what we’ve been starving from ? Or worse… what’s been poisoning us ? I’m learning that you can tell a lot about your spir...

Even Jesus Cooked Too: Meals Are Spiritual Spaces Where Jesus Meets Us

Photo source: ChatGPT Craving a Favorite Meal There’s something deeply satisfying about watching your favorite meal being made. The anticipation builds as you imagine the aroma, the texture, the first bite. I’ve found myself craving a favorite dish so intensely that I traveled a distance just to enjoy it. But that craving—that hunger—is more than just physical. It’s a mirror of something spiritual, something eternal. I think about how Jesus, my Lord and Savior, also cooked. That’s still such a beautiful, humbling thought to me. Even Jesus Cooked Too Did you know that Jesus made breakfast for His disciples after His resurrection? John 21 tells us that when the disciples had gone back to fishing, Jesus stood on the shore. H...
